HIRE PERIOD

A standard hire is for up to three days ie. pick up on Friday, return on Monday

AVERAGE COST

An entire costume is usually around $60 - $70 + GST, however all items are priced individually and we can work to any budget. (For example a full Captain Hook style pirate could cost $80 + GST or you might choose to take just a waistcoat, hat and a pair of boots for approx $35 + GST).

RESERVATIONS

Costumes may be booked up to one month in advance of your event and require a deposit of $25. The remainder of the hire cost is due upon pick up. If you decide to cancel your booking, your deposit will be kept as a cancellation fee.

IDENTIFICATION

All hires require photo ID such as a New Zealand drivers licence or passport.

ITEMS ON HOLD

Costumes can be put on hold at no charge for 24 hours. Items will be returned to the racks after that time if a booking has not been made.

RANGE OF PROPS

Most items are featured on our website. However, due to the extent of our range it is not possible to list every item (particularly small hand held items). We recommend you come in to view the items available.

VISITING PROPS DEPARTMENT

No appointment is necessary. You are welcome to visit us at any time during our business hours. However, our busiest times are Mondays, Fridays and lunch hours so if you are bringing a large number of people with you, we suggest you contact us to arrange a viewing time.

TRANSPORT

We no longer offer a delivery/collection service however, we can recommend TAXI TRUCKS who offer First Scene customers a special rate (phone 09 270 8492). You are, of course, welcome to arrange your own transport

LOSS/DAMAGES

Any loss or damages will be charged accordingly. Please note replacement costs do not have the same value as the hire cost.
